Why This Opportunity Matters for L&D Professionals

Many people still picture Learning & Development as building courses, administering an LMS or scheduling training days. Those tasks matter, but they are the visible surface of a much broader discipline. Strategic L&D connects learning to organisational goals, workforce capability, leadership pipelines, performance improvement and the knowledge an institution needs to keep.

The Tatu City vacancy illustrates that broader dimension clearly. Building an academy and a university means making decisions about governance, competency frameworks, partnerships and evidence of impact, not only content. Instructional design remains the foundation, because every pathway still needs well-designed learning, but here it sits inside a larger learning strategy.
